Some asian fellows will wonder what this picture is doing here ;) ...but actually, in switzerland we have never seen (as i remember) "Japanese Style" Toilets, or as they are called in italy "Turk Style".In Italy you can still see them sometimes, although the shape is different and are disappearing.
This kind of toilets are very popular in japan. The interesting thing is that sometimes they have a couple of "Japanese Style" Toilets and, for tourists, a "Western Style" or Classical one in the same restroom.
Hearing from Native Japanese, what they think of it, it seems they like it quite a lot... but when i've asked them if it's comfortable to read Magazines or Newspapers on that position, they looked puzzled...

As for myself, i still didn't figure out well how to use them, i still find them umconfortable ... i will research further on this and eventually report back as soon as i find a User's Guide... ;)
