This is a view of a restaurant in Sannomiya. Nothing special about the settings that looks quite usual. What caught my attention here were a couple of things...The first one, is that in japan, in some restaurants, you need to buy your menu first from the vending machine. It means, you choose your menu and buy a ticket that you will then pass to the waiter. The machine is a touchscreen with color pictures of the possible menus. But sometimes, old machines don't have a screen with the picture...so it is a little bit difficult to figure out where your button is - if you cannot read japanese ...
I believe they use this way, so that no money is handed to the employees. This kind of shops, offer part time job and i guess employees change quite frequently, therefore the manager probably prefers this kind of system....
